|Warsash Superyacht Academy (PYA GUEST & Advanced Courses)|
Location: Southampton, UK
Hampshire SO31 9ZL
Tel: 44 (0)1489 576 161
Fax: 44 (0)1489 573 988
Website: www.warsashcentre.co.uk and www.warsashsuperyachtacademy.co.uk
|While the school offers STCW training from its Southampton location, the PYA-accredited stewardess training courses are focused mainly on onboard training for interior teams as a whole. Warsash’s experienced team, led by industry veterans Peter Vogel and Danella Lamb, train stews and stew teams not only on yachts, but on cruise liners, in private residences, and in hotels and resorts. Some of their trainers even have experience working for the Dutch Royal Family and Queen Elizabeth II.
Beyond 2013, Warsash will likely be establishing shore-side facilities to accommodate individuals looking to develop their career in yachting. In fact, they are currently scoping out a location in Barcelona, which is quickly becoming a hub of superyacht activity due to the number of vessels coming to Marina Port Vell for refits and long yard periods. So do keep an eye on their website for more information about when their new facilities and individual courses become available.
